Migrating from Webflow to Payload.
We move teams off Webflow and onto Payload, pages, assets, URLs and search rankings intact. Tell us what you're running below and we'll scope the move.
Teams usually leave Webflow because the site has become a structured content operation rather than a small visual build. The migration is an infrastructure change: the content model moves into TypeScript, hosting moves into the team's stack, and the CMS becomes something the team owns. Webflow collections can carry content, references, and rich text, but the source guide warns against copying flat page fields one-to-one. Payload pages are modelled as reusable blocks so editors can compose layouts without a developer changing a rigid template.
The migration starts with an audit of Webflow CMS collections and indexed URLs. Collections export as CSV, media is referenced by CDN URL, and rich text comes out as HTML. Assets move first into the chosen storage, recording old-to-new references. Content then loads through Payload's Local API with upserts keyed to the Webflow slug, while HTML is converted into Lexical. Webflow Forms, Interactions, generated SEO metadata, canonicals, sitemaps, and the front end are rebuilt, and every indexed URL either keeps its path or gets a redirect.
Who runs the migration
We are a Payload partner agency and a top contributor to the project. When something in the platform needs attention, we have direct access to the maintainers.
We have run this kind of move at enterprise scale. We migrated Ingersoll Rand's China sites off Oracle Content Manager in five months, with zero downtime at cutover, and we built the Council of Europe Development Bank's events platform to the deadline of their 70-year anniversary.
The first conversation is a free consultation. Scope, cost, and timing are agreed before any work starts.
